‘KEEP IT SIMPLE’ is my mantra and the video tutorials on this page are designed to do just that. They are the building blocks of needle felting; a perfect beginners introduction on how to get it right from the very start. As well as standalone video tutorials they also perfectly compliment my range of needle felting kits. You don’t need a needle felting kit to work through these tutorials but if you have purchased a kit from the website you can happily needle felt along with each tutorial as you work through the different stages of your project.
Needle felting newbie? Then you might want to have a quick look at the DO’S AND DONT’S FOR BEGINNERS before you start.

Hi, I am failing to find any mending wool in haberdashery shops to mend jumpers. Have you any ideas. I think I read some where That needle felting can be used for mending. Is that true?
It is really good for covering up holes with matching colours or pretty designs. Your best place is the online shops. Just search for needle felting wool 🙂💞
Love your videos. I am trying to teach myself to needle felt and your tutorials are so helpful. I have a long way to go before my animals are recognizable… especially the facial features but ai so enjoy the process. THANK YOU,..You are 😉
Thanks for your lovely comments Nancy. It’s surprising how quickly one can pick up the basic techniques. You will be creating fabulous animals in no time 😃
I have really enjoyed watching your tutorial videos and getting all your tips and tricks. I am totally new to needle felting and have started with a couple of Hobbycraft kits. Just because I am a seasoned crafter of many years and have a large stash which I am not using currently. I have ordered your biggest kit and am hoping to be able to get better results . The Hobbycraft kits are okay but not much detail so I messed up one. I am really looking forward to receiving my kit and hopefully getting results similar to yours.xx
Hi Anne. I know you are going to love your kit and the British wool is a dream to work with. 🙂
Loved the Winter Hare kit! You could easily make a kit for Great Pyrenees lovers and sell them in the States! The videos were so helpful!

Hi I’m a beginner and have been making a hare following your tutorials. I am trying to fix the back legs and struggling. Is there a tutorial for this? I followed the one for making and fixing the front legs and that was great.
Hi Julia. Legs can be tricky but just follow the same method as for the front legs. There is a really good video tutorial on my YouTube channel you can follow. 🙂
Thank you I enjoyed the video. What is the difference between using a foam mat and hessian mat ? I am a beginner and have only used a foam mat.
Hi Sian
Hessian is a good biodegradable and eco friendly alternative, and is especially good for flat felting projects when using the multi needle tools. 🙂
Hi Sian
It’s really personal preference but a good hessian mat will last longer and is 100% biodegradable. It’s also excellent for flat felting, especially when using a multi needle tool 🙂
Hello, I’m enjoying your videos Thankyou. Can you tell me if I can make a flat poodle face and legs for a Christmas Stocking from regular felting? Thankyou.
Diana
Hi Diana
